Therapy grounded in mind, body, and personal story.

At WholeMind Counselling, therapy goes beyond just treating symptoms — it’s about seeing and supporting the full picture: your mental health, physical well-being, relationships, and personal story. Real healing happens when all parts of you are acknowledged.

Based in Sudbury, Ontario, WholeMind Counselling is located on the traditional territory of the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek and Wahnapitae First Nations, part of the Robinson-Huron Treaty of 1850.

Sessions are available in-person or virtually, offering a grounded space for reflection, skill-building, and honest conversation. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, BPD, post-recovery transitions, or long-standing relational patterns — this is a space where you don’t have to leave any part of yourself at the door.

Meet your Therapist

Hi, I’m Meghan Mathe — a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist (RSW, BSW, B.Soc.Sc.).

My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that you are so much more than a diagnosis or a single struggle. I see therapy as a space to explore the bigger picture of your life — your thoughts, emotions, body, relationships, environment, and personal story. Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I believe real change happens when therapy reflects who you are as a whole person.

I’m currently working toward my Master of Social Work (MSW), continuing to grow in the ways I support my clients. Outside of work, I spend much of my free time outdoors with my Aussie Shepherd, Rocket — long walks and hikes are how I ground myself. I also love quiet evenings with my partner, or catching up with friends and family. These connections and simple routines keep me balanced and remind me of what really matters.

Like many of the people I work with, I’ve lived through my own seasons of anxiety, low mood, and feeling disconnected. Those experiences inform how I show up in session: with honesty, compassion, and an understanding that healing rarely follows a straight line.

In our work together, I offer a steady, non-judgmental space where you can lay things down, reconnect with your strengths, and begin to move toward a life that feels more whole, grounded, and true to you.

If you’re ready to begin, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

Services

  • ADHD BPD Depression Sudbury

    Individual Counselling

    $135 CAD

Personalized therapy for real-life struggles. Come as you are — we’ll take it from there

Support for young adults navigating mood, focus, and emotional overwhelm.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, dysregulated, or unsure where to begin, individual counselling offers space to slow down and explore what’s happening beneath the surface. I work with young adults facing challenges like anxiety, ADHD, depression, and emotional reactivity — often in the context of school, work, relationships, or recovery.

Our work will draw from evidence-based tools, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), to help you build emotional regulation skills, understand your patterns, and feel more steady in your day-to-day life. We’ll look at the whole picture — your thoughts, nervous system, relational history, and strengths — and create meaningful, whole-person change at a pace that feels right for you.

    In-person or virtual options available.

  • Couples Counselling Sudbury, therapy couples, younger couples

    Couples/Partners Counselling

    $200 CAD

Support for connection, clarity, and repair — in all kinds of partnerships.

Every partnership holds a complex emotional system. Whether you’re newly living together, stuck in escalating conflict, or struggling to feel seen, therapy offers a space to slow down and listen differently — to yourselves, and to each other.

I work with couples at various stages, often early in their shared lives, who want to better understand the cycles they get caught in: the fights that repeat, the ruptures that don’t quite heal, the space that starts to feel unsafe or disconnected.

This work isn’t about fixing one person — it’s about noticing the patterns you’ve co-created, and exploring how both of you show up in the relationship. From there, we can begin to shift what needs to change.

Grounded in attachment systems thinking, and deep respect for each partner’s emotional reality, this is work that invites insight, accountability, and repair.

    Offered virtually or in-person.

  • Recovery Sudbury, Substance Use Sudbury, Rehab Sudbury, Addiction Sudbury

    Post Recovery/After Inpatient Care

    $125 CAD

Healing doesn’t end when treatment does. Let’s work on what comes next.

The post-recovery period can feel both hopeful and overwhelming. It’s where real-life integration begins — navigating routines, relationships, cravings, and emotions with new awareness. Together, we’ll build structure, explore identity beyond survival, and support your whole self — mind, body, and story — as you rebuild what recovery looks like for you.

Insurance Coverage

I'm a registered provider with most major insurance companies, and benefit plans including: Canada Life, Sun Life, Blue Cross, Telus Health, and NIHB (for individuals with status).

Approach + Modalities

I use an integrative approach, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities to meet each client’s individual needs and therapeutic goals. My clinical training has been primarily focused on working with young adults experiencing symptoms associated with Cluster B personality disorders (particularly BPD), major depressive disorder, anxiety, and social isolation. My work often explores themes of relational self-awareness, boundary development, and interpersonal functioning.

I also provide post-recovery and post-discharge support for individuals transitioning out of inpatient or residential care. This work focuses on the continued application of coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and therapeutic tools to help sustain progress and navigate the complexities of daily life.
